HOW OLD DOES MY CHILD NEED TO BE TO START AT VISION TAEKWONDO ACADEMY?

The great thing about our program is that the earlier you get started, the better your long-term results!
We have children in our programs that started as early as 4- years old, but since children develop at different rates, the best (and really, ONLY) way to see if your child is ready for our program is to take advantage of one of our FREE TRIAL LESSONS and try it for yourself!

WHAT MAKES VISION TAEKWONDO ACADEMY DIFFERENT FROM OTHER KARATE & TAEKWONDO SCHOOLS?

We focus on the personal development aspect of martial arts, not just self-defense moves.
 
 Our instructors are all certified, qualified, and professional trained black belts to teach martial arts at Vision Taekwondo Academy.
 
Our facility is always clean and features a viewing area for parents, as well as matted floors for the safety of all our students.

WILL MY CHILD BECOME A BULLY?

We find that our students become more confident to stand up to bullies and have more humility and kindness towards others through their martial arts lessons at Vision Taekwondo Academy.

DO I NEED TO BE FIT FOR THIS?

"The best time to start was yesterday, TODAY is the next best day!"
No, not at all. We find that everyone starts at varying fitness levels. You will find out that by training at Vision Taekwondo Academy you do get fit fairly quicky, but isn't that the point though? We encourage families, parents to be an example and put on the uniform and train with everyone. A chance to be an SuperMOM/SuperDAD with a fun workout that gets results!

HOW LONG UNTIL I GET MY BLACK BELT?

Truthfully, the journey to Black Belt is an individual one. Everyone can progress at a different pace.  There is NO judgement on students for how long it does take.  What we can tell you, is that it is SO WORTHWHILE!
The self defense skills you will master can truly be life-saving!
Plus, the tehcniques you will learn are skills no one can ever take away from you.
However, the other benefits of striving for Black Belt, like perseverance, never giving up, commitment and self disicpline leads to a life-long successful life. 
You will find that your instructors at Vision Taekwondo Academy are dedicated to helping everyone on their journey to Black Belt or whatever personal goals you may have.

Yes, it will be difficult but when was the last time anything worthwhile was ever easy?

HOW MANY CLASSES DO I NEED TO ATTEND?

What typically happens is the NEW STUDENT ends up loving our programs and wants to attend everyday!!! 
We know how busy your life is as a parent, so our program is designed so that students can make exciting progress by attending classes an average of twice a week.
Some students will want to attend more classes, and that’s great- we have options for that!

WILL MARTIAL ARTS MAKE MY CHILD OVERLY AGGRESSIVE?

No. In fact, quite the opposite!
Children are exposed to HUGE amounts of simulated and real violence on video games, television, movies, the internet and other media outlets.
But in our unique program, we teach students real, practical, effective violent conflict resolution techniques and tactics that can defuse the situation before it escalates to violence. We also teach escape techniques and tactics that even “smaller” people can use to move to safety if approached by a potentially dangerous situation.
Should your child be confronted with an aggressive situation that can’t be resolved peacefully or escaped from, he or she will also then possess the basic martial arts skills to defend themselves.
